Arbender Robinson: Your Side

Broadway at The Pierre

Arbender Robinson made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award winning production of "Hairspray", where he covered the role of Seaweed. In the original cast of Disney's "The Little Mermaid", he covered the role of Prince Eric. He also served as the Dance Captain and Swing for the Broadway revival of "Hair" and was seen in the Broadway revival of "Ragtime". His Broadway credits continue with Disney's "The Lion King". Since then, he was in the original cast of "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical".

On February 26, 2018, as part of the "Broadway at The Pierre" cabaret series in association with Broadway Sings for Pride, a concert was held at Two E Bar/Lounge — the sophisticated saloon located inside the New York City luxury hotel, The Pierre. The concert featured a performance by Robinson, backed by pianist and musical director Chris Curcio.

Robinson performed the song "Your Side" during the concert, where Shefik served as Videographer. "Your Side" is a song written by Katie Thompson and Matt Loehr, and performed by Thompson. The song was featured on Thompson's studio album "Private Page", released in 2011.

Thompson has been seen as Rhetta Cup in "Pump Boys & Dinettes" at New York City Center, as The Witch in "Big Fish" at Oriental Theatre, and as Vashti Hake in "Giant" at The Public Theater. In addition to her work as an actress, Thompson's original music has been featured on "So You Think You Can Dance" (America, Canada, and United Kingdom). She has been a featured composer in Playbill's "Contemporary Musical Theater Songwriter's You Should Know", "It's Revving Up — The Next Generation of Female Songwriters", and her work has been featured in Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts' "New Contemporary Songbook" series. Her favorite experiences include playing cards in the green room at The Public Theater, and singing for United States First Lady Michelle Obama.

"Your Side" was also featured in the Off-Broadway production of "R.R.R.E.D.: A Secret Musical". In the musical, a secret redheaded revolutionary organization is taking matters into their own hands, fighting back against their imminent extinction and standing up for the rights of redheads everywhere. The production played its final performance Off-Broadway on September 11, 2018. The original cast recording was made available through Jay Records in early 2019.
