Forbes Technology Council Members Announce New Partnerships, Awards and More

Media personality Shefik, known for his nationally syndicated terrestrial radio show "Shefik presents Invocation", has been honored with The President's Volunteer Service Award for his charitable and philanthropic work throughout the past fiscal year. The award was certified by the Morgan, Marie, Michael Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established to assist individuals on the autism spectrum with opportunities, appliances and channels for enhanced living. While his primary focus area this past year was on autism awareness, Shefik also supported the work of Broadway Sings for Pride, a nonprofit organization that brings together Broadway talent, activists and celebrities to promote equality through song.

"Giving back to others is a reward in and of itself," says Shefik. "As I continue to conceptualize my perception of human dignity, I am compelled to strive by leading by example."
