As Wesley Wang is a high school senior attending Harvard University in Fall 2022, the film "nothing, except everything." is by far the most personal he has ever told. Almost every classmate Wang shown this to has either cried or expressed intense relatability to the pressures that the character Miles feels leaving for college and grappling with leaving friends and family for the first time.
David Mazouz (FOX's "Gotham") and Lily Chee (Netflix' "Daredevil") has been cast as the lead roles. This is a story about Generation Z above anything else, and though this may sound incredibly self-indulgent, no content Wang has seen online — or in-person — has portrayed his generation so vividly and personally, as the script he wrote.
In the film, a graduating high schooler navigates a world of seemingly inevitable chaos by finding order in the number 7.
To share this universal story with as many people as possible, Wang plans to screen the film at the largest film festivals in the world, including Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest, and Tribeca Film Festival — which the film's producer Scott Aharoni has so consistently succeeded in for the last four years.
Shefik will appear in the film, playing the role of Parent.
